Clarification

That was not angst, that was just me posting lyrics to a good song. Pay attention all you angsty teens and your suicide blogs. :)

My Immortal

I'm so tired of being here.
Suppressed by all my childhood fears.
And if you have to leave,
I wish that you would just leave.
Cause your presence still lingers here,
and it won't leave me alone.
These wounds won't seem to heal,
this pain is just too real,
there's just too much that time cannot erase.
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears,
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears.
I held your hand through all of these years.
But you still have...
All of me.
You used to captivate me by your resonating mind,
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind.
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice has chased away all the sanity in me.
These wounds won't seem to heal,
this pain is just too real,
there's just too much that time cannot erase.
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears,
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears.
I held your hand through all of these years.
But you still have...
All of me.
I tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone.
But though you're still with me,
I've been alone all along.
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears,
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears.
I held your hand through all of these years.
But you still have...
All of me.

R.I.P. Merlin's umbrella, 2000-2004

My umbrella bit it yesterday during the hail storm. Good news is that I have another one to use. It just won't be the same, but life must go on. That is what umbrella would have wanted.

Never giving up

I recently read an article that the average personal web page is only updated for two months after creation. The average blog dies within six months. BigMerl.Com has been kicking it for 10 months now and isn't going anywhere. I know, that is probably a bad thing, but I'm keeping the site alive! ALIVE! :)

An explanation on my career choices

I figure I owe an explanation to some people (Thanks for the heads up Mark!) on what happened with me and why I am not at the bank anymore. Back in January, I had a chat with Kim and told her I was too stressed out and work and would like to post within the bank. We eventually set an end date for my stay in Systems.
During the posting process, I decided to explore some options outside the bank. I ended up at West working an insurance line group. I am very happy with my newfound stress-free life, but have been considering some more options. Once I am into the phase where I can play with my schedule, I am seriously considering going back to First National to work part time, possibly with Cardmember or Merchants, doing phone work.
Trust me, all is good. Actually, all is great. I have absolutely no stress whatsoever, and that is a phenominal feeling. Also, a quick shout out to the Rats!

Badger Badger Badger

you know how occasionally the Internet makes someone speechless, this is one of those times

bigmerl.com scores again!

MST3Claye: So.. Tuesday night Bongo and I were chatting away about Star Wars novels.. I went to a site he was talking about and then lost connection. I figured it was one of those dsl things where you wait a while and it'll return. So I played one of my games for a bit then went to bed. I was busy Wednesday so I didn't get a chance to check on it till I got home around 8:30 and there was a problem. I tried disconnecting the router.. and still no c

MST3Claye: the connection with the router was fine.. my brother and I were still connected.. So I figure it might be the modem.

MST3Claye: I did the usual turn off/unplug stuff and left it unplugged over night.

MST3Claye: yesterday I decided to call bellsouth about it.

MST3Claye: bellsouth told me with their automated voice that there was a network outage and that the estimated time of resolving it was not available.

MST3Claye: so about 1am last night I called and their menus had changed and I got connected with a REAL LIVE PERSON and they said it would be fixed around 2:30am...

MST3Claye: and I guess it was. :)

Can you hold? The phone's just bluescreened on me!

subweb updated

sw.bigmerl.com has been completely updated. That is all.

An instant classic

Last night on 70's Red got drunk and bought a canoe. Kelso ties it to the back of Hydes car and rides in it while everyone watches. You hear Kelso yelling "This is my greatest moment every!" Not to mention plenty of other canoe related shenanigans.

greatest tv moments...

you forgot the greatest moment of tv history ever.
the episode of simpsons where lisa's class is making diaramas of books for school. after school lisa, that smart girl, and raplh wiggum are walking home and he says "my cats breath smells like cat food." then he falls down and says "i bent my wookie."
classic. oh yeah.

Blogger: Dashboard

In case anyone wondered about the software I use for the blog portion of bigmerl.com, it is called blogger. They recently redid their main page and it is TIGHT. Anyway, this software allows for multiple people to update the blog (As seen by the occasional posts by LCX and Rose) without installation of any software. It works in conjunction with the Google Toolbar which I think is a needed tool for anyone using Internet Explorer. Anyway, that is all I have right now, off to finish my book.

I still think this is funny

Really makes you think

My Aunt Sandy was a wonderful woman. I spent time with her growing up, she was a cool aunt, let us do things our mom wouldn't. I do not think she had the ability to be mean, this world is a lesser place for having lost her. Big love goes out to my cousins, especially PJ who has had a rough go of it lately. I love you guys.
